LabRats Junior Explorers
For ages 8-10
LabRats Junior Explorers helps kids age 8 to 10 develop character, self-confidence, and social skills while they learn how to safely and meaningly explore the Universe around them.
Junior Explorers engage in a rich hands-on STEM curriculum that exceeds the Next-Generation Science Standards (NGSS). At the same time, they learn teamwork, leadership skills and scientific habits of mind that lay a solid foundation for success in school and in life.
LabRats is just getting started. Our community may be passionate and capable, but it's still small. So if you want to see LabRats in your neighborhood then we need your help.
Here's how it works.

How to start a LabRats Synergy near you
How many students do we need to start?
Homeschool groups can begin with as few as eight (8) members provided that the meetings take place in a family home. If we need to rent a facility then we require at least 14 students to form a new LabRats Synergy.
Once we have enough students we set a convenient weekly meeting schedule and assign an expert STEM educator who has been certified in the system of LabRats instruction to lead it
Authentic STEM
Our members don't play with popsicle sticks and rubber bands. As often as possible, we engage them with real tools used by real scientists. Our members learn the authentic secrets of making actual discoveries so that by the time they leave our program they have confidence in their ability to one day change the world.
Authentic STEM
Certified Instructors
Our instructors are all professional educators who have been certified in the LabRats system of Engagement Education.
Sponsorships available
Of course we realize that many of the families that most need this sort of program can't afford the monthly fee. That's why we offer sponsorships to as many needy families as we can.
Sponsors can be individuals or businesses. Some LabRats parents elect to support their communities by paying for a membership in addition to their child's. If you would like to sponsor one or more needy children, please fill out the form to the right and we will contact you.
Please note that LabRats is a 501(3)(c) organization and all sponsorships and other donations are fully tax deductible.
